Course #1: Let’s Get to It! Creating a Birth Plan That Advocates for YOU

In this 20 module course, I coach you every step of the way for a positive hospital birth experience. I break down all of your comprehensive childbirth education in short, digestible modules. We start with the question, “How do I know if I am in labor?” and we work that all the way through each stage of labor with fun, interactive childbirth education that doesn’t leave you wanting to fall asleep. I mean, I know you are pregnant and tired, but I believe you will be excited to stay present with me for each module! Each module builds upon the previous one and I slowly take you on a birth journey so that you won’t have a single question left over when thinking about and preparing for a hospital birth and navigating your birth and their procedures. This course is to empower and educate you to plan and prepare for the birth that you want, no matter what that looks like.

Together we build out 3 custom birth preferences and newborn care preferences based on the balance between hospital policy and procedures, your body and baby’s unique story, your preferences, and your body’s innate wisdom. You get access to my proprietary Birth Preferences Planning Tool, 4 templates and deliverable plans (spontaneous birth, induced birth, cesarean birth, and newborn care wishes), 20 childbirth education modules, and 4 secret but fab bonus modules. In total, we will hang out for over 6 hours 1-1 with me teaching you and your partner (if applicable) as your virtual doula. But you can take it slow one module at a time!

Welcome to Birth Story Academy. In this course, you will learn everything you need to know to prepare for a hospital birth from your virtual doula, me- Heidi whether you have spontaneous labor, are induced, or have a planned or unplanned cesarean. Over my 17 years as a doula, I took every birth course I could get my hands on, read every single book, took all the online courses, and found a giant piece of the puzzle missing. Hospital Birth! It is very easy to find courses on how to have a completely unmedicated birth at home. But what about the 97% birthing in a hospital who need to learn to navigate hospital policies and protocols. My birth doula clients have a less than 7% Cesarean Rate. Learning from and working with me reduces my client’s relative risk of a C-section by 78%.
