Rebozo Techniques
I carry a rebozo with me to every birth. It is a long, beautiful cloth with a Mexican heritage. Each rebozo has a unique pattern, color, and texture, helping to identify the region it was designed in.
I use the rebozo in labor to help sway and rock your hips while you are on your hands and knees. It is also used for supported squats by tying a knot in it and hanging it over a door. Once the door is closed, you can securely hang from the cloth in a deep squat. It is soft and cozy to snuggle up to when the pressure waves come. It can be used during the pushing phase of your birth by playing tug of war with your partner.
